Default Issues emailing to tmomail.net

Please Login to Remove!

Since my emails are unlimited and my SMS msgs are not I generally email people's phones through my tmo.blackberry.net address. Lately I've been informed of some weirdness.

The SMS msgs show up as follows to the receiving party.

SRS0=ymBY5L=NN=tmo.blackberry.net=<my email address>@srs.bis.na.blackberry.com /<message here>

Obviously the extra garbage at the front is bad because it eats up additional characters for their SMS and they have to search for my name ....

I called tmobile about this yesterday. The phone rep was great but was not sure what was going on with this so she transferred me to RIM.

The rep from RIM said it had something to do with a new anti spam measure they implemented and tmomail not following the standard this reading the from info from the wrong portion of the msg. They were going to send a knowledge base article about this to me but I never received it

In any event he was going to talk to some higher ups and try to get the word to tmobile about this issue so they can do whatever they need to do on their end.

My question is if anyone else has noticed this issue yet or if I'm the only one so far.

Get the word to T-Mobile. If you can send email to your desktop from blackberry and it looks OK and you can reply to it- the problem is on tmobile email gateway to cell phones.

That's about what I figured. Is there anything more I can do than what I've already done though? I'm not sure how to go about this . . .
