Default Nextel TCP/IP

Please Login to Remove!

Im new to the blackberry. Got a 7520 from Nextel. As i was reading for forums and setting up my new software. Everything seems alright but programs like verichat seem to be always getting disconnected. I read that Nextel has a stack ip that can run these programs right from activation. But you can order a Static IP from nextel for $4 month extra. Should i invest in this static ip from nextel? would it make my verichat more reliable?

On Nextel myself. To check your IP address, go to Options, then to Status, that should tell you the IP address. The disconnection problem, I don't have verichat, but have Ramble IM and it was doing the same thing. Here is what I did to clear that and it seemed to work, it has not done it since: Go 2 "Options" then go to "Host Routing Table" once there click the wheel, you should get the menu, click on "Register Now" this register the BB with the network again. Give it a try can't hurt. It work for me and I have not had those problems since.

I run webmessenger on a 7520 and have used all the others as well they all disconnect when you use the phone. However webmessenger always connects right back.
