Default Most people don’t want phones on planes, Europe tries to get them on anyway - 10-29-2007, 04:20 PM

European regulators are working on ways to get cellphones to work in planes, but a recent survey shows most flyers don’t want it to happen. Will BlackBerrys be able to squeeze in without irritating anyone?

I hope there's a "Non-Cellphone Section".

Remember the non-smoking section? Hopefully this'll be more effective than it was.

Man I don't know what most people problems are! Whats wrong with being able to use your phone on the plane? Like using your phone on the bus or train, it's no problem to me! I'm not a "talker" but I could see the usefullness of being able to make a quick call instead of having to spend $$ on the in-flight-phones.

Also that brings to mind another thing, there are the in-flight-phones I've been in plenty of flights where my bussiness partners, or other people sat down in their seats, picked up the phone and talked for almost the entire duration of the flight, what's so different form that and using your cellphone?

Being able to talk to anyone from anywhere is the way of the future, I don't see why people have to hold back progress!

He's not any kind of program, Sark. He's a user!
