If Linux is doing well, and Palm is running it on their devices, they could have a leg up on BlackBerrys.

Remember Linux is only the base. Its what is added on top that makes or breaks a product. I for one welcome Linux. What drove me to BB was the fact that it was the best OS available at the time and the lack of other choices that worked well.
