I updated iSync several days ago and downloaded your .plist (.zip) today. I have done the un-pairing and re-pairing and searching from the SK65.

The pic which appears when I try to iSync is not even an SK65 but a Sony Ericsson (my previous phone).

Jon:

Thats weird. Ive never had that happen to me when I owned the Sk65. Can you do me a favor? Could you check the firmware version on the phone and give me the model and variant that the phone reports. I think is *#06* and you should get the info from there. Otherwise navigate to settings and its somewhere buried there.

I have had a look on the phone but can't find the firmware version. Regarding *#06*, am I to type this, dial this?

I'm looking and looking but can't find it. What was the *#06* stuff?

(And by the way, I'm sure you're sick of me saying it, but thanks very much for your help - much appreciated.)

Taken from the SK65 firmware update pages:

http://communications.siemens.com/cd... oads,00.html

Check the currently installed firmware

type in *#06#, now the IMEI number is shown in the display
push the "More"-key left of the joystick to see the complete "Status"-information
please note the information written below the following parameters (you will see further information by scrolling down with the navi-key):
Product, SW-Version and Variant (only the four first characters are relevant e.g. A201)

I believe the latest is version 50 and I recommend you upgrade. Do you have the Dc-510 cable to do so?

Dc-510? A cable came with the SK65 which looks like its power plug at one end and a USB at the other. Is this it?

Many Thanks to you already in advance!!!!!!!

I gave him a lesson on the phone and he was very curious about it. After a few tries he hit it: there was a glitch in my provisioning and then I was able to go into the BWC and change my pin.... success!!!

Needless to say, all works fine now.... and we're ready to take this baby for a spin.

Thanks to all of you who replied to my inquiries and helped.... and Mac users - this phone works just fine with iSync - no application to sync needed besides iSync and a small modification to the MetaClasses.plist file ...ask for details!

Hello all,

I, after much scratching of head, was able to iSync my SK65 on Tiger. The new upgrade, iSync 2.1, has arrived and I now have an iSync that cannot find my phone (even if the Mac can through 'browse device' on bluetooth).

Anybody else suffering? Any ideas?

Many thanks in advance,

Jon

yeah u can
call tmobile, make sure u have black berry service activated
go to tmobile.com, my tmobile, select the phone , i pick a rim 7100 because they dont support sk65, now u can check the ur bb pinned# or change to right one, and setup extra emails.
make sure ur sk65 setup to proper one, theres 2 bb, bwc and bes.
u know when u are in right mode when bb browser disappears when u want bwc.

r marquez:

Can you (or someone else) let me know:
Does the SK65 work with iSync on Panther?

If not, is it possible to upgrade iSync without doing the full upgrade to Tiger?

Thanks
Ross
