Default Tilt keeps suspending itself using BBC - 01-22-2008, 11:46 AM

I have recently deployed a number of tilts to users in my company, and a couple of them are having a recurring issue where BBC appears to suspend itself. I can usually tell by looking through the userlist on the BES, and when I go to their handheld and view the settings - in the status tab it always indicates "Suspended by user" - yet they swear they haven't done anything.

So far this is only happening on 2 phones out of nearly a dozen... anyone have any ideas or also see this?

Thanks!

This has happened on mine a couple of times. I have no idea what causes it.

Has anyone actually checked the devices? If the Suspend At Startup option is checked under the Status tab it might report a "Suspended by user" status.

So I'm the only one having this issue, with multiple devices?

Why not just switch them to a real BB and not worry about it anymore? I have seen alot of complaints on the tilt and BES

My Tilt did this yesterday. It seemed to have something to do with the outage. It also did something really weird. BBConnect just disappeared. The little BB icons went away. A soft reboot brought it back, but I've never seen it just go away like that.

What's the point of your response? Go to another forum other than BB on Non-Rim Hardware and give useless replies instead of trying not to help here.

BB Connect on TILT works perfect for me and it put's standard BB devices to shame

Well this is what could have happened. The user have proabably click on IE and then it stays connected as it is either downloading data. This is my experience with BB on WM device. This is because unless the user have a used another third party app or configure the x to close the Pocket IE, the BB app will continue to be suspended till all data have been downloaded. Then it should resume itself.

You mentioned that the user is not aware probably because Pocket IE is running in the background. Alternately, you could tell your user to use the BB Browser instead as this does not suspend the BB device.

Hope this help.
