@Rohit & @grhodes- please check your P1i Organiser Versions and possibly use
a different BB Connect.
This one below might work:
Sony Ericsson - Support - Software - P1i - BlackBerry® Connect

Installation instructions
NOTE!
This file is intended for P1i organiser software versions:
CXCxxx xxx R6E30
CXCxxx xxx R6F41
CXCxxx xxx R&G05
The Organiser software version can be located in the phone as follows:
at the Main menu tap on More then tap System information and scroll down
to see the organiser version.

The linked page above also gives a download link to the BB Connect 4.33
which is supposed to be only for:
NOTE!
This file is intended for P1i organiser software version: CXCxxx xxx R6D23
This page: CDA/P1i - UIQ3 open-source software
keeps an updated list of latest P1i Firmware versions.

Hope that helps.

You can try googling for version 4.79 or else,
I'd say your final bet would be to update your firmware to the latest
World Generic 1 version.
Try one of the other non-BB forums for the update method.
It is definitely possible as many have already done it, including me.
I'm running the 4.82 on the latest and it works very well.
Here are the versions on my P1i.
Phone: CXC 162037 R9K009
BT: CXC 162143 R1D
ORG: CXC 162108 R6G04
CDA: 162022/2 R6G02
Update method is only for the brave and to be done at your own risk.

SE haven't put out any firmware update since that one back in Feb this year.
