| | Help! Can't synchronize contacts with my SK65

I've been looking all through the forum and faq's, and haven't yet found a reference regarding the problem I am having (sorry if I just missed it somewhere).
I just purchased a slightly used SK65 from a friend in Europe, and I can't get the contacts to synch. The phone, email, and wireless calendar all work great. I get a connection to MPM, the BB Desktop Built-In, and the Desktop Manager 4.0 that I installed over it. However, when I use the SmartSynch function to try to synch the contacts, it connects to read the entries in Outlook, but then tells me there is no connection with the phone when it goes to transfer those contacts. I get a similar message when I try to copy an entry from Outlook to the Address Book in the Contacts screen of MPM. Desktop Manager 4.0 appears to transfer some general files around, but doesn't synch any of the contacts despite having the PIM settings set up correctly.
Any idea what might be going on here? I have tried using both the DCA-510 data cable and IR port to no avail (my computer doesn't have Bluetooth). I have also downloaded, installed, and reinstalled the newest version of MPM from the Siemens website, and reinstalled the data cable drivers.
