Default Nokia 9500 Calendar sync error - 11-22-2005, 03:16 AM

Has anyone seen this error before, I've got BB working on a P910i and am trying to get it working on a Nokia 9500. The mail is working fine but the calendar synchronisation gives this error:

Program Closed WatcherStarterMainThread
Reason code Etext
Reason number 10

Thanx

Are you runing code version 5.21.x or above on the 9500? I think that is a pre req.

Most shipped with 4.5.3

Thanks, Cuthbei

Are you running it on a BES or BIS?

Can't help you with the 9500, but I got that error on my P910a.

For a differen reason, I decided to completely reset my phone. After the device was cleaned I tried to re-seup my Blackberry Connect software and I got that same error. After working on the issue for a week, I realized that I had forgotten to setup my internet/sms. I went to the Sony website and I sent the setup files to my phone. After that, the phone started working fine and I didn't get that error.

The error relates to the operating software on the 9500. Same applies to the 9300. Software should be version 5.22. Type *#0000# to display the version. After I upgraded the software on my device, all was okay. I had to go to a Nokia repair centre in order to upgrade the software.

Thanks,

Alan.

Same problem occurs. I've experienced it with a 9500 and a 9300. The error starts when BB Connect start to upload data to the phone. We have tried to reload BB on the 9300/9500 and upgraded firmware but to no avail.

Hmmm.

Try the following:

Confirm handset is on ver 5.22 by typing *#0000# on the front display.
Reformat handset. (Remove SIM and Memory card, replace battery and hold in Ctrl, Shift and F when powering up until format is reached.
Then re-load the BlackBerry Application on the device (Ver 5.25.3)
Then try and connect again and download the calendar.

Good Luck.

I had the same synchronisation problem with my Nokia 9500 and followed aossher's instructions.
Now everything is working perfectly. Thanks a lot!
