Default Nokia 9300i Client? - 02-09-2006, 12:51 PM

Does anyone know where I can get hold of the Connect client for the Nokia 9300i. I have tried the others and have had no luck getting it to work.

Thanks

Crawford

Thanks very much. I had a 9300 before which worked great with the Blackberry client. I just bought this 9300i (the updated 9300 with wifi) and using the 9300 client it isn't working.

Great forum by the way.

No, sorry I am keeping an eye on the German Nokia site, they seem to be the only country selling it at the moment.

Hi All.

I have managed to get the new software for the 9300i directly from my carrier. The software has not released by RIM or Nokia as yet. The versions that you will require are:

S80_BlackBerry(5.50.1).SIS for the BlackBerry application
SymbianNokia_BBCconnect_Desktop_Setup_2.1.1.6.exe

Operating software on the Nokia 9300i needs to be ver 05.50 or 05.51

Seems to work okay.

Regards,

Alan.

Can I ask who your carrier is? Is it downladable from thier website?

Thanks,

Crawford

Default 9300i - Black Berry Connects - Cingular - Works Well - 02-23-2006, 09:13 PM

New BlackBerry connect for 9300i. Works well with Cingular USA with our corporate BB servers. Here is the software link: http://www.nokia.de/de/business/mobi...ry/200570.html

Software works well on both German and UK/English 9300i phone versions.

Crawfordr - Thank you, thank you, thank you for the software link! FLG>>>

I have not tried the 9300i with TMOBILE but my SE P910 with BBC works well with TMOBILE and but not with Cingular - so my bet is that the 9300i will work with TMOBILE.

Hi sbeindba

It is possible that T-mobile does not allow devices with pin numbers starting with a 6. Normale RIM devices start with a 2.

Maybe contact T-mobile and discuss with them?

Thanks.

Default 9300i in Switzerland - 03-02-2006, 10:15 AM

Dear all,

Thanks for all the very valuable information. I just installed the software from Nokia.de on my systems and my 9300i. I am on the Swisscom Service. It worked quite o.k. Bute quite is just not good enough.
My problem is, that the changes on the 9300i do not go back to the exchange server. Changes on the Server made through my normal workstation go through to the 9300i without any problem.

I wonder whether this is due to the fact that I am using version 2.1.1.2 of the Blackberry connect Desktop for Nokia. Alan mentionned 2.1.1.6. Can I get this version from somewhere or do I have to turn a certain Switch (Delete from Server is on). Synchronizing (Abstimmen) does not seem to do anything.

Any help would be much appriciated.

Thanks and Regards, Franz

P.S. Is there a way to synchronize the task list? The manual mentions that you should not synchronize the calendar once you have set up BB connect. The task list is very useful though...

Greetings - Under BlackBerry the account settings check the reconcilation settings? Maybe that is set incorrect? Just a thought. FLG>>>

I tried to contact Nokia in Switzerland about it. Apart from some VERY silly (automated) answers I got nowhere. I am in touch with Swisscom who said before I bought the device that it would function without any problem. How guillible from my side.

Hi there,

You can get the file directly from the nokia-page in Germany. No need to get in line. And you should be able to install it yourself. The page is:
http://www.nokia.de/de/business/mobi...ry/200570.html

Does BB Connect work when the software is installed? Maybe! According to some users in Germany it works very well WITH THEIR PROVIDER. Since you are probably not using the Swiss provider Swisscom, you have at least a chance. Without the so
