Default SK65 starts up with BB service starting please wait! - 02-21-2006, 01:08 PM

I tried changing my SK65 to BWC mode from the BB menu to use it with TMO and restarted the phone like instructed. Now, when I start the phone, after I confirm the phone startup "Please confirm switch on", it goes into this mode where the screen says "BB service starting please wait!" and it just hangs there. I'm not able to use the phone or do anything with it!?!?! I tried upgrading the firmware from Siemens website but I still get the same screen and it just hangs there! Anybody know what I can try or run into the same problem????? Please help!!!!!!!!!

this is the case with all SK65 with blackberry builtin. Since the blackberry runs ontop of the java platform on the phone it has to load up. I noticed it does this at power on, and also when you go into blackberry portion of phone it loads again. Very annoying and very long load time.

Approximately how long does this message last on your screen?? Mine never disappears and I've kept it on for more than 4 hours? As you can imagine...I can't use my phone with this screen displayed!! If the service is not found, will the screen still remain on display or will it disappear?
