I dont think BB connect in P910i support PIN-to-PIN messaging. I haven't seen or read any related issues regarding to PIN-to-PIN messaging in P910i although It can be use for sending SMS and MMS especially for email. Unlike regular BB, PIN-to-PIN messaging is enable. Also, my friend tried sending PIN messages but it was not successful.
Thanks for your response. I have a BB8700r and also trying out a used P910a. I think the SE P-series phones are great. The symbian UIQ OS is so much more advanced compared to the Palm OS (programs installed in the external memory is seemlessly integrated with the internal apps, etc). I am glad that there are more apps for this symbian phone now (Docs to go, Quick office, ereader, Mobibook, isilo, among others). I think the next generation P990 is going to kick some Palm a**.
I am trying out the BB connect function and of course, it is not as fast (email-wise) as the BB but I think it is fast enough. I just miss the PIN-PIN messaging function since some of my friends don't want to pay extra to get sms functions in their BB's. Hopefully, future versions of BB connect will have this function.
