Hey, I posted this last night in the MDA bb thread.... ;) I wish I had a device to test it with, though I heard it doesn't work on any us devices as of yet... :(

3 service books
- ALP
- CICAL
- CMIME

Supports Internal Email or Corporate Email

- Auto More
- Remote Sync
- Empty Deleted

unfortunately can't test beyond that. Seems to be some filtering being done at the RIM or Telco's end. Initial Registration was successful then failed, now could not get connected. :(

Did you load the cab file using active sync or did you move the cab file directly to the device?

I finally got it installed on my JasJar. Had about the same level of success that everyone else has. Then had some very enjoyable soft-shoe to perform to get my IT guys to re-enable my 7290.

I hope that they will enable the pins sooner than later.

some folks over at xda developers forum claimed that this BB connect is working for them on their Universal.

one of them said that the combination that works is TMO UK 1.20 (or lower) and radio 1.06 (or lower). Other versions (Qtek, iMate) work as well, as long as they are AKU1 and *not* AKU2

Where can I find out if I am 1 or 2? Where are the older ROM's?

Thanks,

The only way I was able to get this working on the MDA was to update the MDA to the T-Mobile German ROM (link on that site) first.

Worked fine after that, with the obvious issue that everything in Windows was in German, with no option to switch it back to English.

I had thought that it might be the German ROM APN ("internet.t-mobile") that made it work, but flashing back to English and setting up that APN didn't work. Was curious if using that foregin APN would cause any billing issues. Haven't had a chance to check.

Even tried flashing back to the English ROM (not running anything from the English Extended ROM) and then running everything from the German Extended ROM (hoping it would correctly configure everything), and that didn't work either.

thanks guys ...i have found the software fro t-mo germon site and it installs correctly.. I have a problem getting the pin to register with tmo. T-mobile system does not like it and a hour with their tech support came back saying it is not supported until a newer version of bb connect is out. I'm trying to find out when that is likely to be
