You don't need to have BES to get your email....ANd you're best off asking your techs at work..If your work email is hosted on a POP or IMAP server, you should have no problem getting your email on the Q, although it won't be push email like on the BB, but you be able to retreive your email..

Does that mean if we have a POP or IMAP server for our email I can get the Q and basically get emails via web browser? We do have a web address where we can log on and get our emails.
By push you mean real time emails?

If you have POP or IMAP the Q should poll your email and 'pull' it to the device. You can set it to check your email every 15/30/60 minutes, etc. and it connects, polls, and pulls.

/i hope that was clear...

So it would work similar to our BES, where emails are stored on the phone itself and then I can reply etc from the phone? Sorry just new to this and dont really understand it.

Yes.

However the emails would only get to you as often as you have your Q set to poll....

For example:

If you poll at 30 minute intervals 8:00,8:30, etc. and someone sent an email at 8:05 you would not receive notice of the email until you polled at 8:30.

Also, this system is more of a drain on the battery than the BlackBerry push system.

Perhaps a Motorola forum might be the right place for your question...

I was told by RIM that Motorola is looking into BB Connect closely for the Q. They have signed up the BB connect program so I would not say No Chance
