Default Help with BB on Nokia 6822 - 06-11-2006, 11:49 AM

I've gone thorugh this forum but still haven't found what I need to get my Nokia 6822 running with BB. I ordered this phone w/ hopes I wouldn't have to switch from Nokia or carry around 2 devices. But the US version I received did not have BB software installed. Where can I find this? I read it needs to be flashed but where do I go to do that? Cingular won't do it.

Someone please help. I want to get the E70 when they release a US version but I can't wait 6 months to get my BB working or find a another solution.

Thanks!

Default Nokia 6822 - 06-12-2006, 09:11 AM

I have a Nokia 6822 with BB included. I don't think you can add or download such for the Nokia 6822. The BB function on the N 6822 is limited to email access and remote address book lookup.

The N 6822 works well with both corporate Exchange and internet mail BB services on Cingular or TMobile in the US. Due to the screen size and memory limitations the N 6822 is almost not usable in a business environment as a BB device. I was going to sell mine on EBAY but would be embarrased to have someone try to use it as a BB device.

If you want a device with more functionality I would look at SonyE P910 or Nokia E61. I' ve been using the Nokia E61 for about a week and wouldn't go back to my N9300i or RIM 8700.

I have them both and the Nokia E61 is very, very nice for BB usage.

Thanks - FLG>>>
