Default Siemens SK65 with T-Mobile USA Help Needed - 03-01-2005, 04:30 PM

I just got a Siemens SK65 and I am with Tmobile. I called Tmo and got Blackberry Setup on my account as well as my BB Email Address.
The Problem is I cannot Browse or get connected online. I have the wap.voicestream.com service but I still cant connect. GPRS is all caps to.

When I go to the BB Browser I have a screen saying I dont have a Browser Config Service Book. Tmo tried sending me service books several times and i tried for the Siemens website and Tmo Site and I never recieved a message.
Also when I click on Web Client in BB it says Service conf. has to be done via Web Client Portal.

Is there a way to get this up and running? Tmo now is telling me that they dont support this phone and refuse to help.

Thank You
Chris

You are on BES mode, you need to switch over BWC mode, and then ask them to resend the service books.

Go to BlackBerry > Setup > BlackBerry Service > Proceed

That should change it to BWC mode. Then resend the service books.

Were you able to get this issue resolved? Like you, I am Tmo and thinking about getting the SK65 to use on Tmo.

Any reason why the SK65 wouldn't work on Tmo other than the BES/BWC issue?

Also, having used the SK65, how does it compare to equivalent Blackberry? 7290?

I have used the SK65 with BES on T-mobile in Seattle for over month. I am very happy with it. You can't update contacts OTA, but other than that the BB function works great. Some people complain about the smaller screen size versus the RIM devices, but it has not bothered me and I like the fact that the phone is much smaller then even the the 7100. I have not used the 7290 so I compare them. The keyboard on the SK65 is its best feature by far and I think it is far superior to any other similar devices. Hope this helps.

Try www.expansys-usa.com. They have the BB and non-BB version.
