Default New BB Connect for Vodafone E61 available - 08-01-2006, 08:07 AM

On the Nokia Business website, there is a new BB Connect version for the E61 available. But it requires new firmware for the phone...
Where do I get this? Anyone already using the required 2.618.06.05?

Yep, I have the same version, but now there is this new BB Connect version especially for Vodafone users... But that requires the higher firmware... :(

I think the vodafone firmware is especially for them, and heavily branded. From what I have heard its not all that great, Better to stick with the noka carrier-neutral firmware.

Hi there!
I used the "old" BB-Client not suitable for Vodafone with my german VDF-BIS... I had about 6MB Transfer per day whereas i normally only have 100-200KB... I had hundreds of 1KB-Connections to the BB-Server (rounded up on the Bill to 10KB)... Is this better with the new Client? (I switched to Activesync while i get such a massive transfer, since i have unlimited Data, but only 5MB BB-Data...)

Hello!
I am on Vodafone in Romania and I had some problems using the old version, as sometimes I stopped receiveing emails for no reason. I erased the old software and downloaded the new one but apparently my E61 did not recognize the new software. I wasn't able to see the BlackBerry menu. I tryed three times and then reinstalled the old one. With the old one, it is working again. I think I need to go to the Nokia Service Center to upgrade the firmware.
Is someone using the new version already?
It seems that the new version is for other networks as well.
Thanks.
