Default Nokia E61 - Is there any way to sync Outlook Contacts? - 08-03-2006, 05:06 AM

Yorien says:

Well, we got some new Nokia E61's to test from our provider and some minutes later the big bosses here at work where lurking around them like jackals. Once we made some tests to check how to install the BB service and how well it worked, we decided to install some.

Now, problem is, one of the bosses we installed the Nokia to has asked us if it's possible to sync his outlook personal contact list with the E61. The installation manual says we cannot use the Nokia Pc Suite Sync option once the blackberry service is up and running.

Is there any other way to sync that contact list, or at least copy the contacts from outlook to the E61 w/o having to reset the E61 and reinstalling the BB symbian soft?

Thanks in advance

you can do it ONLY via the sync software. we ordered one in to see if it was worth going to, but we went to the RIM8707's instead.

this lack of contact syncing wirelessly was the deciding factor for us.

yes unfortunately nokia pc suite is the only way to sync data. it does sync most of the contact fields, however i did find out that anniversary dates are not supported in the sync process.

yes, all BlackBerry Connect devices can only sync emails & calendars OTA. Contacts are not synced OTA. you will need the wire (data cable) to do the job.

Thats strange that the PC suite sync would stop working once BB connect is running.

Not the case. I use PC suite sync for my contacts and still have BB connect running.
