Just curious. How fast are you connecting when using the BB as a modem? I have consistently connected at 115KBps. Which although not awesome, is still better than the modem I have built into the laptop.

I am using a 7100(4.0) on Cingular.

Hahaha... The 115k is the max speed of the serial port connection (via the USB). GPRS actually performs in the 30-40kbps range. That's right - dial up speeds. GPRS is not know for speed. CDMA is faster (80-90k) and EVDO (300k and up) is even speedier. But GPRS is 30-40kbps.

When I am done with this project, I will actually test it against one of those dsl speed test sites to see how slow I really do connect at.
