Default Blackberry Internet on a Palm - 12-04-2006, 10:18 PM

Hello all,

I searched high and wide but couldn't find the answer. I presently have a BB 8700 with BES and international add-on from T-Mobile. I recently had to switch to a Palm 680. I would like to keep my present data plan as I get unlimited web access in internationaly included in my plan. So the question is can I configure my Palm to access the internet with my existing plan? I know I won't get push email ect, but I would still like access to the internet under the same plan.

Thanks,
Marc

I spoke to my Palm contact yesterday. BB Connect is not planned nor slated (if at all) for the Palm 680 :(

BB Connect is available now for the Cingular Treo 680's. You can download it from Palm's support site w/ a vaild Cingular T680 serial number.

It's at palm.com/cingularBBC

Blackberry Internet Service is not supported, only BES 4.0 higher.

I think its only available for the 650, not the 680. People have tried getting this to work on both the 700p and 680 and it wont work. Probably something to do with these units shipping with a newer version of versamail.

I stand corrected. The Blackberry client has been released for the 680, and its available on the palm website. Sorry about my last post.
