Default need help on bb connect with hermes - 01-10-2007, 01:17 AM

Hello there,
i had a hermes with bb connect client. i also installed the bb desktop. i had subscribe to bes service from my isp as well.
My company has a bes server and i request my IT to enable the bb service for me. they sent me a user name (which is my email address) and password for the enterprise activation.
My problem is: i do not see the "enterprise activation" option on my bb client, nor the bb desktop. moreoever everytime i start the bb desktop, the PIN is always "unknown". when i click "connect", it always complain "the email account is currently configured to use PIN unknown Type", "would you like to switch to the connected handset with PIN 12345678 instead? (12345678 is the pin i saw on my bb client on the hermes)

Anyone experienced this and can offer some advice/assistance to me? thanks a lot.

Regards
AP

don't know about "enterprise activation" but if you go out to the Vodafone.de site and download the BB connect instructions for the VPA Compact III (same phone) it is very helpful.

I used the software, desktop, and did the same things you did....and mine works.

I don't think you need to enter in a password at all, just "connect" to your device, if it asks you to to use the device "12345678" just say yes...

Hello dlhendo,
Thanks for your advice. I followed the instruced, click connect, say yes to switch the device, move the mouse to generate encryption key, but then in general tab the pin is still "unknown type". can you think of any reason why this happen?
