I have a question regarding MDS and BB Connect.

Right now on my BlackBerry the company has MDS disabled -- so we cannot surf the intranet from our hand held devices. However I can still surf by using the "INTERNET Browser" instead of the "Blackberry Browser"

I've read some mention that if i Have a Moto Q or similar device with BB Connect, if MDS isn't enabled the device will lose it's ability to use the internet..

Is this true? Wouldn't the device just go through the provider?
