Default Nokia E62 Limitation as a blackberry - 10-09-2007, 01:28 PM

I am using the Nokia E62, with Fido. It works reasonably well, but I wish someone would have told me the following:

- You cannot search the contact database. You can enter a person's 1st or last name without a problem, but if, for example, you need to find your technician's name at Fido, and you forget it, you can't search your database under the "Company" field.

- There Contact databases, "Notes" field is very limited (# of characters). If you are the kind of person who makes notes when you called people (in the contact database), you will NOT be doing it on your blackberry. The field is too limited.

- The "Notes" database is OK, but you cannot sort this database. It is presented based on last edit date, and that is all your options.

- There is no security feature for any specific record in any database. Therefore, if you want to put in your personal passwords/codes in a Note, and then assign a security password for that specific note -- forget it. You have to Autolock the whole device, then, of course, every time you use the device, you need to unlock it.
- The To Do database does NOT have a notes field. Therefore, if you have details included in your MS outlook Tasks database, they will not be transferred to the E62.

- There is no way of viewing the calendar separate from the To do's. It is a cumbersome screen to mix your to do's and calendar in one screen.

- The device is slow.
