Default How to get Exchange email yet NOT sharing other device information - 10-11-2007, 08:03 PM

I want to get my Exchange email from my company. However, I would first like to know how much control this will give the Exchange server administrators over my device. I have two options for connection using m Nokia E61i:

One: Since they use Exchange, I can connect using MS Direct Push on my device, synchronizing just what I want but nothing I don't want. How much control do I keep over the device once connected or is that completely dependent on the Exchange server settings?

Two: My phone also has BlackBerry Connect, which I currently use with two email accounts, and have the option of connecting to a BES with it. The company supports this option as well. Once again, same question as above, regarding the control I keep over the device versus that which I give up to the BB server administrator.

I know that with an actually BlackBerry device connected to a BES nearly complete control can be wielded by the BES server. However, I was thinking that since this device, the Nokia E61i, is not a BlackBerry, this would be less of an issue.

They are also sending me a BlackBerry 8320 but I was intending to use that as my personal phone. I could use it if it the better option but I kinda like the idea of using it as a personal phone since it works better with my car...
