Actually, here's a small tip.

There are certain FONTS that seem to crash 4.6

It never likes me using Verdana or some other non standard fonts.

Therefore, I suggest, whilst you make the changes to the theme, save it, then export it to a ALX or JAD. That way, you don;t loose what you;ve done, and can benchmark where the errors are based on your changes.

I know it's a pain in the ass, but works for me, and saved a few themes and progresses several times ;)

I don't seem to have a place to put the svg file. In fact the only place I can load a background is in the icon screen.

I think I answered my question... I have plazmic 4.5... do I need 4.6?

yes you do, that is the only one you can use to load the svg files

4.6 is a beta release and isn't available as a official release

will animated themes work on Curves running 4.5?

Yes they will...

darn it. i just spent 2 hours perfecting this tutoral and making a few gifs, and now i cant use them. come on plazmic, release 4.6 allready.

ok. i got 4.6, but it only allows the svg in the custom style. custom only allows 4.5 os.

it's not a big deal because i run 4.5. it's just my buddy runs 4.3. it there something other than plazmic that people are using?

My bad, I lost myself thinking about the possibilities.

Ok I have followed all the steps. But when I go to load the svg file it comes up with these errors

An exception occured! Type:UTFDataFormatException, Message:invalid byte 1 (") of a 1-byte sequence.

File yourfile.svg cound not be loaded: unknown file format.

What am I doing wrong?

The first time I tried it I got an error as well, not sure what it said off hand, I went back and ran through it one more time from scratch and it worked perfectly. The steps work to perfection, I am not sure what I missed but I have not had the issue since that first time. I would start from scratch and try again and let us know what you come up with, I will see if I can get that error by goofing around with it.

You just need to edit some files in plazmic to allow export to lower OS versions.

There are instructions posted here (I think) and at Pimpmyberry on how to do that.

When you edit the .svg file in notepad make sure there is a space in between the "indefinite" and keyTimes.

OK I got the animation into theme and tested on phone it worked. I finished my theme and went to export it and when it starts the export it gets to controls and theme buider crashes. Does anyone know why?
