Im designing a new theme for myself and had a few questions that im a little stumped on right now.

First off, when re-organizing the banner, do I need to use ALL of the icons that it suggests? I turned off the ones i could but there are still a few it offers that I personally dont see a need for. If I leave them outside of the device area will those just dissapear when i export the theme?

Next, when trying to create a 'Today' style, the menu for editing the home screen is very confusing. I want to have the standard 'Calendar', 'Messages', 'Missed Calls' setup but how in the world do I do this? I tried the little add app icon but it wont let me choose which one i want to use and wont let me space them or anything. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!
