ElusiveAura,

be a sport and donate at least a buck.

I am a huge fan of freeware but I always donate a couple bucks whenever I get software that is functional and useful. I wish the Grungy Gant theme maker had a donate button because I'd easily would have forked over $10-20 for his piece of art.

Normally a designer distributes a couple hundred to over a thousand copies of freeware. If everyone kicked in a buck or two that's a nice piece of change for the designer who IMO has more than earned it by virtue of his skill and time. When people show their gratitude in this manner the designer is encouraged to kick it up a notch and make even more.

Resources such as this could easily dry up if people remain such cheapskates. I can understand not rewarding the guy for buggy software. But if it works and you really dig it, remember to go back and toss the guy a buck or two.

Just keep that in mind.

I agree as well. I haven't downloaded it yet but will do so and if I like it I will probably donate $3 depending on if my phone doesnt choke with it (aka memory leaks etc).

I noticed that Grungy Grant theme, but I could never figure out how to download it OTA. Was there a link? I liked the look of it as well!

Go to the OTA link with the Storm and select the link. Or you coucould email the page link to your device and open the link and download.

ElusiveAura,

on Crackberry their notion of OTA is navigating to the link on your phone browser and downloading that way.

I too got used to the notion of OTA being having the link sent OTA to your phone after applying via a computer accessing the WWW.

But the Grungy Gant link is friggin LOOOONG. Go to the GG page, place your mouse icon over it and copy the link displayed on the lower left of your screen. It's long but open your Storm browser and type it in. Then you can download the GG theme.

It's AWESOME!

I'm curious what app the "Party Like It's 1999" achievement icon is supposed to represent.

I knew you had to go to the blackberry browser to download the OTA but my problem was I couldn't see the link on their page to email it to my storm. I went back and looked on my computer and lo and behold, its actually HIDDEN. It's above the picture of the theme and when your mouse scrolls over the link, it turns yellow and you can see it. I noticed the link is shortened with ..... near the end of it and I tried copying the link but the link says page not found when I try to access it or download it through my Storm.

Any suggestions?

Hey Xel,

How do you revert your BB background back to the red Verizon image? I don't see it in pictures either. Was it part of the Zen background theme? I have a custom pic saved to that and was just curious how I get it back.

Yeah,

go to Grungy Gant page with the OTA link on your computer, highlight and copy that page address in the browser bar. Open an email, paste the web address in an email and email it to the email address you have synced with your Storm. Open the email on your phone and tap the link. Chose the "get link" option and your browser should open to that page. Then hit the OTA link via your phone browser and it should take you to the download page.

Download GG to your phone!

Hmmm,

I guess you could do a search for the wallpaper. Below are some quick ones I found with a Dogpile search. Both can be sent OTA to your Storm.

Blackberry Storm Wallpapers | Original Storm Lightning Bolt

Pink Verizon Logo Blackberry Storm Wallpaper | BlackBerry Storm Wallpaper

With regard to the original red check wallpaper, I believe its still in your phone. You just have to figure out how to reset it to the original wallpaper that comes on the phone. I know it can be done, I just haven't figured it out. I immediately toyed with wallpapers so it wasn't on my phone long after I got it.
