When I open messages, they should delete and they stay on the screen even if I physically delete them in messages. Is there a setting that is changed?? It doesn't happen all the time, but when I restart my phone then the messages that were "stuck" in the today theme don't appear. Let me know if you can help please. Thanks!!

I have your issue and do waht you do.
Sometimes I go to messages view folder and find a hidden item to remove.

It seems to be a characteristic with some Today style themes, but not all of them. Battery pull and cleaning out the Saved folder are good techniques. Sometimes, I find that they clear themselves on their own after a minute or two.

If you are using a theme that was designed in the BETA version of plazmic this can be an issue.

Also is it you incoming messages or messages sent with Vlingo? If it is Vlingo you will have to delete them

It has happened ever since I have had the phone. I just installed the lastest application too and it didn't help. I may have to go into sprint and see if they have a solution.

ok..you could try this...go to message inbox > option>general options> SMS & EMAIL SEPERATE(YES=SEPERATE).

you will have a different icon for sms/mms and the messages wont be sticking on the today theme window...!!! worked for me...

Good suggestion or again you can view the folders in your messages menu and delete from there.
