The ease with which you interact with your device is surely of paramount importance? And aside from the OS you're running, given that ergonomics and hardware are set in stone, the Theme you are using is one of the most important aspects of using your device comfortably effectively and efficiently.

So why is it as a theme designer/seller I feel like I'm being banded in with all the other people that flog ringtones of pop songs and cheesy backgrounds for a living?

It makes it more difficult than it should be cos there is so much (quite frankly) shite out there?

Just a rant, but opinions welcome...

So your having issues because people have been complaining about buying themes from you? Well only advice I can give ya is get used to it. There are always going to be people out there no matter what that will want something for free instead of paying for themes. That's the nature of the beast.

You can only take some people with a grain of salt, yes it is nice to get things for free...we all do. Some people don't realize the time that is involved in some themes that are created. It's always a good thing to bring out some free ones with as much content as you feel is enough but not too much of your time and release it for free. I have made many of free themes for people in the BB community as well as premium themes. Everyone's view is different on themes, some people have all the free time in the world to make themes and some only do it on their spare time. I myself make themes when I get a chance while I'm juggling my job, and wife and kids...and I don't try and make a ton of money to be able to buy a ton of things but most of it goes to a few things and a little in my pocket.
