I have an AT&T theme - I never go with that one. I never go with MediaNet. I always go with the Blackberry browser and the Blackberry theme. Anyone know why the BB theme is no longer listed? I do have the Blackberry Browser but not the theme...

When you open options / Theme / Menu / Download Themes, you can't find what you want? Or you haven't tried?

It's something that has always been there - at least on the Curves. I see that you can go to download purchased themes, etc. BB Theme isn't one you download. It's just "there." Since it isn't - I guess I don't get it. Odd

There are several themes included with a blackberry. Typically I've seen the Zen themes, the today theme...

Describe what you had before that you are missing. Maybe someone will know what you mean, if you can't remember the name of the theme.

I remember when I went from OS 4.2 to 4.5 BB did't include the wall paper pictures anymore. I believe they decided not to provide their theme here as well. It would have allowed you to have the main screen filled with Icons.

Is it really the wallpaper that your are wanting?

When you go into options/themes it usually (on all the Curves and the 8800) has AT&T's themes and then several that say, "BB Dimension Icon, BB Dimension L, and BB Dimension Today.")

You can use whatever Desktop Picture you want when you use a BB theme (replacing theirs.) The BB theme puts the icons where you want them... like the BB Dimensions puts the icons all over the main home screen - like right where that AT&T ball is right now.) The BB Dimensions L puts the icons in an L shape on the main screen and BB Dimensions today puts information about "today" on the main screen.

I guess they didn't want to include them with this Blackberry.

The Bold 9000 doesn't have them either. The BB theme is now the Precision Zen theme.

I don't have info on how or why the carriers decide on what themes to include. I recall an article on blackberryfaq.com with procedures to unlock the hiddens themes. Maybe it is still there, and may be of some help to you.

Sorry... didn't mean to sound demeaning or anything - I am sure you know a lot more than me. In the end, concluding from mckinneycm's post - the Bold has always had a different style - which is fine. It's a small thing. I am returning it today anyway, certainly not because of this. It's too slow. The other BB's in the house are beating it.
