Yeah I only had like 6 themes and a bunch of pictures. I got rid of everything I could. I got rid of some of the pictures that came on the device too that just werent for me (the lilly picture). Seems to run fine. Lots of memory came back too.

When you say that call logs reappeared, do you mean that all the missing calls suddenly came back into the list? Or do you mean that call logging started to save calls again? In my situation the calls/SMS were gone and didn't come back after removing all but the base themes and pictures. It did free up a lot of memory, but everything was gone.

Sorry, they started to save again. I think someone had their SMS messages actually reappear. It was up further in the thread.

I already have 4.1 on my 7105t. Will this theme work? And I also had to dump a bunch of themes from my BB. I still have them in DM if I want them in the future.

I just noticed when the cursor on the Blackberry icon, hold the Shift Key then roll the trackwheel from top to botton, the profile can be switched between Vibrate and the last profile you are using.

Is there any other tricks or key combination to share on this Zen theme?

Its not the scrolling wheel, pressing and holding shift switches profiles. Pressing A brings up the address book, O options, L calendar, if you look in the menu where most of your apps are listed you'l notice underlined letters, these letters bring up the application wether in this menu or the homescreen. Excluding any on number keys. But as the 7100 has 2 letters per key its rather limited as only the first letter on each key works under the home screen, and pressing and holding the key doesnt give you the 2nd letter just the symbol for that key.

Tmo 7105t with 4.1.0.292 confirmed. Used the knology.net .jad link to install.

I had the 4.1.0.256 OS installed originally. I deleted the Vendor.xml file and installed the new 4.1.0.292 OS completely (not just the .alx file).

The Dimension-icon theme installed successfully. Then I downloaded the Zen theme and it's working great!

Took a while to figure out what I was doing, but hopefully this helps some of you.

Default No "shared" Path

Jibi's instructions say to copy blackberry.alx to the "installation path" and then says that it is:

Installation Path: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files...

I HAVE NO SUCH PATH. I have a Cingular 7100g. I have C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion, but the only subfolders below that are:

\Apploader
\Modem Drivers
\RIMDeviceManager
\USB Drivers

I searched my entire pc for *.ALX and found no pre-existing blackberry.alx. I found a few .alx files, but for 3d party apps (TimeMatters, etc.).

A year or so ago I downloaded some hack that let you install a small icons theme (from O2) on a 7100 and it worked. Today I upgraded my OS to 4.1.0.8(from the Cingular site) and now my the looks like something from a 1989 Apple Mac (all black on white; no color anywere except for the icons for my after market apps).

I'd like to install the Zen theme, but just getting back to the default theme would be better than this.

Does anyone else notice this forum page seams broken?

I get upto post 36 then the beginings of a post on "04-06-2006, 11:49 PM" but all a bit messed up, then posts 92 onward. Then beneth wher tha page should end, below even the copyright stuff i get some random half a html gag then posts 87 to 91. Then within the message body of post 91 ther is the posts 53 to 56.

Im using Opera 9 Beta, if that makes any difference.

---- Edit ----

Never mind its fixed its self now as soon as I posted, must be another in glich in the rendering engine of this beta.

Default Zen theme .alx

I saw a request for the zen theme with .alx file to load through application loader as opposed to using Javaloader after the 4.1 rev 300 is installed. All of the information provided by jibi still stands and is required including version this is just an easier way to load it so it won't be deleted everytime you use the app loader.

Download zip file, unzip to a location you want to keep it forever, put the cod file provided from jibi in the same directory and load it through application loader.

I have not had a problem with it since I loaded it.

BTW, for those that request alx files, it is not that hard to create them, especially for a one off cod file. I would hesitate to do some of the things jibi does but for one cod file just find a basic alx file and edit it for the cod you want.

you have to delete the research in motion folders on your computer and reinstall the new os on the bb

Ok, I got 4.1 300 to install and the zen them works good (altho I do see the system slow down very much when it loads or tries to switch themes)

but my major issue is that none of the other themes work.. the other BB Dimension theme works.. but thats it.. the rest wont let me activate them.. when i click, it just gives me the option to close..

that, and I cant use my old 4.0 themes like default list. Does anyone have a copy of default list that will work with 4.1?

thanks, I like zen. but I would like other options too !

I have been trying for the last several hours without success to get the Zen theme on my 7105t. I have OS 4.1.0.292 (Platform 1.8.0.143) and DM version 4.1.1.9.
