Not personally but there isn't a lot of downside to trying the theme. You have to be running the Plazmic theme reader software which they also offer on their site.
You're stuck with those horrid wings which is deal-breaker for me even if it is free.

Default MacBerry steps ??

I'm a bit new at this. Do you suggest downloading Plazmic theme OTA (or zip) directly to the BB or to my Mac? Thereafter, download MacBerry R4 ?? Thx

I would try OTA which means you surf there on your Blackberry Browser and click the link. I'm now using OTA for all software where it's available (like PocketDay which I download fresh everytime I reinstall my OS, which was about 5 times last Saturday.) I just find OTA simpler.
Mind you, once my unlimited data plan expires I may have to reconsider my tactics. Not sure if data is an issue for you; if so, zip file and Desktop Manager will be cheaper.
Yes, Plazmic Theme Reader comes first. Then the theme. I have no actual experience with the Theme Reader. Like I said, the wings aren't my cup of tea.

I've used a few of the themes from that site. The MacBerry is still one of my faves.

hahaha. good, so i'm not alone. i can't stand those wings either.

can anyone tell me if the mail icon displays how many emails you have received in red just like on osx's dock?

@ oldboymonster. the wings are hard to miss. they are the blue signal strength and battery strength meters. horrible. as cooperpwc said. a complete deal breaker.

if millenniastudio's ever reads this Please get rid of the wings and keep it simple bars. Totally ruins the "Macberry" feel.

hi trinybwoy,

thank you for your help. that's great. just curious if the apple "mail" icon is used for emails (i'm assuming) what icon is used for messages (sms/mms)?

now i just need to get over the "wings" haha. the display for the messages is pretty big for me though, i hate how the now i only have the little yellow envelope in the upper left corner. that alone doesn't even tell me what kind of message i have.

could be the new deal-breaker for me

I agree the wings are hard to swollow, what if they were trimmed down just a bit around the edges and on the end like this one? Would it help just a bit?

Macberry is a great theme! I used it for a long time. The only thing I didn't like was that the icon for instant messenger was a terminal icon, while the icon for the phone was the ichat icon. I found that pretty confusing at first, didn't quite make sense to a mac user who is used to ichat as their instant messenger.

Oh, I kind of thought that's what cooperpwc meant, but since I am new to all this I thought that was too easy Thanks TBC!

go to options/theme

select your new theme and use the trackwheel to activate the theme.

You often have to hard-reboot the BlackBerry --especially the 72xx series -- before new themes show up. Don't know why, but that's the way it works. As long as you've got OS 4.1 and Plazmic theme reader, a reboot should take care of it.
