Could someone please help me step by step how to edit/create theme for 8700g using the plazmic theme builder? That is from scratch to saving it to alx. file. Thanks

I know nothing about creating themes but may I suggest that while you wait for an answer to your post, in this unrelated thread , that you use the search feature (at the top in RED).

I am trying to point you in the right direction as a test search for just the word plazmic alone yielded lots of results. I would help if I could but can only point you towards an answer, not provide one.

was that nicely stated??

Really, if you successfully installed Bharti there is nothing to be afraid of. You are doing yet another OS upgrade in exactly the same manner as you did Bharti. Delete the Vendor.xml file, replace the Blackberry.alx file. The new step is to throw the Today Themes into the Java folder before you run Applications Loader.
Oh, and be sure to do a back-up...

In addition, the Telstra OS is .309, so if you follow the instructions to the letter, your DM will recognize it as an upgrade and do it for you automatically.

1) have you installed the OS upgrade on your computer yet?
2) The path is C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\.... (Be sure you are looking for the correct Research In Motion folder.)

Be sure you lok at the path fully. There is a research in motion file under Program files but you want to go into common files first. I made that mistake myself.

Program files
common files
Research in motion

Hmmmm.... I guess you have the zipped version of the Telstra OS from jibi. The unzipped version is here. But it's a huge file.
If you're using the zipped version you have to unzip it and then run it. You only get the Shared folder after you have run the Telstra OS installation program.

You are having a bad day...
Reboot your computer. Run Desktop Manager again. It's when you go into the Applications Loader that it will prompt to upgrade. If it doesn't but you see the new OS listed there, proceed to run Applications Loader anyway.
