I renamed my email to GMail through my BIS, and it showed up like that on my bberry for awhile. Then I upgraded to telestra OS and also switched to the Zen theme. Now my email folder is named GMail(-4). Any ideas what's up?? When I get a message it switches to GMail(-3). And so on and so forth so if I have 4 new messages, it says just plain GMail. Any help?? Yes. There was an issue during the upgrade. Those ghost messages, I believe, won't go away. You'll have to wipe and re-install.

I actually don't think it's quite that bad. A battery pull (reboot) should clean it up.
That is a problem that is common with the individual account icons in BIS 2.0.
I also think that may just be a problem with Telstra and BIS 2.0. Since returning to OS.284, I have accurate message counts on all the individual account folders.

Since his says Gmail, methinks it's not the main messages icon.

Perhaps you're right on the hard reset...I was just trying to recall what I had seen as the solution in countless other threads...
