Default Today screen/theme

Will the 8100 have the new Today screen/theme? This is wonderful, would be nice if it had some features borrowed from Symbian and give other apps the ability to integrate into it.

I do know there is an alternative (PocketDay) but its kludgy and not integrated into the OS very well in my experience.

Thanks!

After seeing the video review on engadget i started wondering about themes too. The one in the video seems similar to the zen theme. What other themes are on there?

Yes- I got one today, and it does have the today theme. Looks too cluttered for me.

Also BlackBerry Messenger is updated UI, and can now send Audio not just pictures to other people on BBM. A couple other new features like having your conversation in your messages box like Google Talk and things like that.

Is this like the "Today" screen on WM devices? I would love something that shows tasks on the main screen. I saw pocketday, but don't really like the looks of it.

Sounds like a waste of screen space.

I can't wait for this freaking phone to get in my hands. I bought a 7105t just to get used to the suretype. My buddy at T-Mo said I had 14 days to return it. lol. I have purchased 8 phones in the last 2 months looking for the perfect phone - NEVER thought to try a BB. Stupid me - I love my rented phone!!!

Much better than my (these are all for sale btw): Treo 650, Treo 700W, MDA, SDA, Nokia E61, Treo 700P, Dopod Star Trek, and Samsung E900

OS 4.2 themes are only compatible with OS 4.2, unfortunately. tried this out a few weeks ago...

WOW. You sound just like me.

I had the Nokia E61, Blackberry 8700G, T-Mobile MDA, Treo 700P, Sidekick 3. I'm back on the Blackberry 8700G but I have to say that my MDA was actually quite awesome. But I guess that phone wins definitely multimediawise. But with the slew of new stuff that the 8100 supposedly has built in...it might get knocked over - rock solid stability + multimedia capabilities = humpage

Sad part is ..each carrier makes you want to switch to them over a phone! so frustrating and confusing. :( EVDO vs EDGE..blablablabla on and on and on and on
