Default 8100 Theme Question

Please Login to Remove!

In the pics I have seen on the web the 8100 has 2 themes I really like. The first is the Zen theme where the icons are on the left hand side instead of the right. The 2nd theme I like is where the icons are scrolled across the bottom of the screen like a tool bar or like it is on Mac OSX. Can someone tell me the names of these 2 themes? Also are they included on the 8100 or do you need to alter the .alx file to enable them?

The icons on the bottom are limited to the 5, they don't scroll. You set the 5 and the rest have to be activated using the menu screen.

The other one with the icons on the left also exists, but when you highlight the icon it fades in the name of the app, which is really slow and awkward. I hate it.

I wish I had just a simple text theme.

I really like the default theme, since you can use the menu key to pull up a list of the rest of apps when at the home screen.

(by the way, i love this device, my only complaint being that it picks up fingerprints like no other).

We used to have the list of apps when using the Today theme, now this is gone. :(

Does anyone know how to get this functionality back?

How do you set those 5?

You also need to select "Organize Applications" from the bottom of the app list. Then you can move/hide around. The other way to enter this is within Options.

I LOVE the Today theme, but prefer the list when you get to the main list of apps. Not sure why they took this out.

i saw a couple themes on mobile.blackberry.com; i wish there were more. the pink one is cool if you are a pink person but how about orange or green or something where all the menus aren't blue?

Am I to assume it is not possible for general users to create their own themes? Do themes have to be signed by RIM?

Wish they were - I'm an F1 man so I would love if there were a formula 1 theme.

Anyone can create a theme - assuming the theme generator software is available.

There is no theme generator software available yet for the 8100s. On they day it is available, I assure you the dedicated Ringtones, Themes and Wallpapers forum will be very busy.
