I installed the Zen theme, and I absolutely love it. My only hangup with using it is that it's REALLY REALLY slow. I'm talking a good second lag between the time I rotate the thumbwheel to the time it updates on the screen. This is in the main screen only. The rest of the screens (apps, emails, etc) run normally.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? Is it just me and my God forsaken unluck when it comes to all things electronics? (Let's not talk about a set of gauges I recently purchased for my Powerstroke. :( )

Any insight on how I can speed things up on the main screen would be greatly appreciated.

IIRc it's 4.1? I put the Telstra firmware on it.

hmm okay, I was going to suggest upgrading to Telestra but since you have it that won't work. I do recall having a huge memory leak and was pretty slow with Zen on my 7100g. I would recommend checking your memory and find out if you can clear anything out that you don't use. ie. unused programs, old emails, pictures

Actually in my experience, the lag was with Tesltra. The original .284 Zen has no lag and that is what I use. It also allows you to turn off the app names. The best feature is that you can hide the apps on the dropdown menu and still have them appear as the 5 main apps on your homescreen.
Both these features have disappeared in newer versions. I've said it before: they ruined Zen.
However, the .284 Zen does have a major memory leak. You have to do a battery pull from time to recapture the lost memory. I'm just used to it now.

Just my luck. :/ Thanks for the input gentlemen. I may go back to verizon's Version and try running Zen with that. Then again, I may keep it on Telstra and run another theme. Zen is not the end all of themes. Nice, but not nice enough to go through all that again.
