You need to leave your PC running all the time as well, for it to fully function, as it turns your PC into a server for the Unite.

Yes, RIM have been posting knowledge base articles for a couple of days now about BB Unite. Reading them, there does seem to be one (other) gotcha.

As mentioned above the machine on which BB Unite runs must be kept running. This is understandable. But if it DOES fail (crash, or just power fails) it seems you don't even get email on your BB! I guess this is no different from a BES, but a BES is normally looked after in a corp data centre and may even be in a redundant configuration.

So all I'm saying is 'beware'. You may be significantly reducing the robustness of your BB solution by runing BB Unite at home, say... One good thing about the BIS and operator network is that when they break you know there's lots of people running round trying to fix it ASAP. Thay wont be the case with your Unite server, especially when you're nowhere near it!

Oh wow! I feel bad for the problems you guys are having, but I'm really thankful that you posted this because I was just about to install Unite! Think I'll pass on that now.

You have to change the policies on the units after you add them. check the other unite threads there is a link i posted to the help article that walks you through it. As to the bunny, Thatz, you were not specific enough in your poll, just said "bunny"

I figured it out and did it policy wipe and all is working great now. Its not that great since there is no outlook contacts or calendars. I am in the US and using it just fine. Just cant download from the official page. Dont ask me where I got it as I will not reveal my sources.
