I have used Jan-Piet Mens push framework with a proper BES before (and found it to be very useful). So I decided to use his pushout.pl to hack together a quick test on my Unite server. It works every bit as well as it does with a BES. So if you want to push data to your Unite users, give it a try.

The framework is written for Linux, which may be a drawback for some.
