Default Unite! on VPS - 07-14-2008, 10:02 PM

Has anyone had any luck getting Unite! running on a hosted server? I was unaware that the setup required physical access to a BlackBerry (because I'm to lazy to read a manual). I was able to find several USB over IP apps but so far none of properly worked.

so basically:

If you've gotten it to work, how?

If you can recommend a USB over Terminal Services/RDP/IP/WAN etc. application what would it be?

I'm running it on a virtual machine, but I have access to the hardware so if you can solve the USB over IP issue you should be good.

I'm using VMWare Server specifically because the virtualization supports USB. You might want to check your hosting service's OS specifications, some don't support USB well even if you do have access to the hardware.

Not cheap but should do the job. I might be looking into it later.

USB for Remote Desktop - USB for Remote Desktop - Shared USB

Here is another one USB Redirector - USB over IP - USB over Network - Incentives Pro

I couldn't get these to work.... I also tried the usb over network from the 1st site everytime I opened Unite the computer would crash.
