I have a work calendar account on GMail and use Sync to keep that up to date. I would love to use Unite to have a seperate personal calendar that does not sync to the Google calendar.

Is this supported?

There does not seem to be any settings to set for this but I have found that cal entries made in Unite while the BB was connected to the system did not sync with GMail. All other entries end up in both places.

This may not be a supported config, but if not, it sure lowers the usefullness of Unite (for me at least).
