Yep, seems to be the same suck-ass thing as last year.
Skipping it....

Anyone attended the T-Mobile event last year? How was it? I believe it had a Havana theme.

Train? Seriously?
Granted, the last 2 years, I said the same thing. I thought Hootie and the Blowfish sucked when they were first around in the mid-90s, but either I've matured (gotten old?) or just came around b/c they were actually really good. And last year, I thought Kenny Loggins was a joke--and for the most part he was, except that Danger Zone is cheesy good and he did put on an OK show. Just OK.
But Train? I freaking hate the song Drops of Jupiter and Meet Virginia. They are the worst. So maybe I will end up liking them. At least there's free beer.

It was ok .. open bar. Cuban hats and themed drinks. Had a band and cigar station.

Verizon sounds like the same deal. Oh well good for a bite and networking

I seen to recall that at the Hard Rock they have another band (usually a real good local one) playing in the other room at the smaller stage near the bar. This was the case a few years ago when Brian Setzer was the headliner at the AT&T party.

Last year the Tmo event they handed out nice new pairs of Ray Bans... not too shoddy at all.

Default Non AT&t

For this AT&t party....i signed up for the event, but i'm on verizon.

I'm assuming other people have done this. Would i still receive the actual invite via email/text. Or do they check for at&t lines only?

You'll get it regardless of your carrier (I was on Sprint and T-Mobile the last 2 years). You will get it the week of WES (might have been day of the event if my memory is correct).

If I remember correctly, we went to the RIM "invite only" party first at High Velocity where we gorged ourselves on decent food. Being first in line at the buffet has it's advantages. Then we went to Verizon where the food wasn't that great.

The sushi at the "invite only" party was particularly good. Hope they repeat that this year.

There was even going to be a party for you. A big party, that all of your friends were invited to. I invited your best friend, 'the Companion Blackberry'. Of course, he couldn't come, because you murdered him. All your other friends couldn't come either, because you don't have any other friends because of how unlikable you are. It says so right here in your personnel file; 'Unlikable. Liked by no one. A bitter unlikable loner whose passing shall not be mourned.' SHALL NOT BE MOURNED. That's exactly what it says. Very formal. Very official. It also says you were adopted. So that's funny too.
