Default putting Opera Mini and Gmail on Blackberry - 05-11-2008, 08:33 PM

so i'm looking at an upgrade some time in the next month. I have Sprint and I really want to get a Blackberry. first of all should I get the Curve 8330 or the 8830 World Edition. I think I like the thickness of the 8830 for my big hands and the international capability cuz i spend a decent amount of time in New Zealand but the curve has better battery time. So my first question would be which one to get

next question. I have a SERO plan and I want to avoid the Blackberry Add on if possible because SERO comes with unlimited data and paying for the blackberry pack would be redundant......

A guy from Wireless Advisor informed me that if I could get Opera Mini onto my Blackberry it should work with simpl Power Vision and I wouldnt need the BIS........i would also like to get Facebook and Gmail on here as well.....how would i go about getting those on here without downloading them directly onto the Blackberry.

Could I install them via USB cable on my computer or some other way?

Just a heads up about GMail for BB. It's a little slow at first, but once you log in, it's fine.

And what it really comes down to when picking between the Curve and the World is do you want a camera?

well since I made this post I just decided to keep it simple and go with the Samsung ACE.....nice phone......i can now bluetooth ringtones and pictures and al kinds of objects between phones now.....which Sprint locks down on its other phones......and its a World Phone......the camera is pretty good......overall i like it......which is something coming from my mouth because I was a skeptic as to whether or not you could create a WM smartphone with little lag time......but the ACE handles the OS really well

Been searching for hours on this one. Finally made one on my own. The internet community pretty much failed when it came down to finding a ALX/COD version of GMail 2.0.5.
Here it is:
rapidshare.com/files/177724109/GoogleMail_2.0.5_for_BB.zip.html

Or see the following post for OperaMini 4.2, Gmail 2.0.5, and GoogleMaps 2.3.2 already zipped up with ALX/COD's:
