Default In-Ear Bluetooth Headsets?

Please Login to Remove!

Just looking for some recommendations on in-ear bluetooth headsets. I have a headset now that works fine with my 8100, but I have giant dumbo ears and the hook-thingy that goes behind the ear hurts me after a while. I'm hoping there's some good, SMALL, headsets out there that don't require any sort of additional support to stay in the ear other than the ear-gell itself.

Anyway... looking for any suggestions. I don't need fancy bells and whistles. Just make and receive calls is all I need. Most important would be something that's in-ear only (no plastic behind the ear loop thingy) and the smaller the better.

The Plantronics Discovery 665 is small and it has the shaped ear gel so it should hold without the hook. This is also the same bluetooth headset that RIM repackages as the Blackberry bluetooth headset.

The Sound ID SM100 is also designed to fit on the ear without a hook. Instead of using a shaped ear gel, it has a little hoop that will fit in the ear just outside of the ear canal. The reviews I've seen of this headset is pretty decent, with more of the design emphasis on how the call sounds to YOU rather than on how the person you are speaking to perceives you.

Default Bluetooth HS's

Plantronics are a good choice. I have a voyager 510 and 520. They both work well. I also have a Blue Ant Z9 which is a real nice headset. Vey small which I like alot. If you do a search on this site there are a lot of reviews. I normally purchase my accessories from BBerry - #1 Store for BlackBerry Accessories and - Computers, Electronics, Digital Cameras, Books, DVDs, Music, Games, Software, Toys, Sports both have reveiw sections of the items you are looking to purchase. Another good source is Tech product reviews for cell phones, computers, MP3 players - CNET

Good luck.

I found one more interested Claim from a new BT company called as Argard. They claim to be the smallest headset (Looks like on their website) but they dont have any technical support in Northern America.

I like the Jawbone, they run around $119.00 a pop, but they come with 5 different ear buds, so you adjust for your own comfort. The slipping it over your ear section is a little odd to get use to, but, the other option is just not to use that portion, but..*shrugs*.. I like it, just don't shake your head vigeriously (don't laugh, I tossed back my hair and it flew off my no worries, in one piece and working. Also won CNET's best bluetooth award...go to The Highest Rated Bluetooth Headset. Ever. to get one yourself...there are retailers that sell them Cingular/AT&T stores supposidly, etc. *shrugs*... I've seen them as cheap as 109.00, but...again, just be a smart shopper....I love mine, best bluetooh I've ever had.
