Default Car kit with "Say a Command" compatibility - 11-25-2007, 01:46 PM

I'm looking for a Bluetooth handsfree car kit that plugs into the cigarette lighter that is compatible with the voice dialing capability of the Blackberry Pearl, e.g., push the call button on the handsfree kit, and hear "say a command" through the handsree kit speaker generated by the Blackberry, say "Call Joe Smith, home," and have the Blackberry dial the corresponding number in its address book.

I have a Nokia HF-6W handsfree unit that activates the voice dialing capability of a Nokia phone, but not on a BlackBerry Pearl. Some handsfree kits have internal address books, but I have users with hundreds of contacts in their Blackberry address books, so it's necessary for the handsfree kit to allow access to the Blackberry voice dialing capability and address book.

I have a Nokia CK7w car kit and this works fine pressing the remote call button does exactly what you want it to do. I also have in the other car a Blueant Supertooth Light portable car kit and again the call button on this does exactly what you are asking for and has the further advantage of portability between cars
