Default Unable to access Bluetooth Settings in Blackberry Desktop Manager - 11-25-2007, 02:51 PM

I clicked on Options, Connection Settings in BlackBerry Desktop Manager and was unable to access Bluetooth Settings. Its grayed out. I have Widcomm Bluetooth Software v5.1.0.1700 installed, Kingston BT dongle in USB port is shinny blue, and in My Bluetooth Places the 8100 appears.

Why can't I access Bluetooth Settings in Desktop Manager

Desktop Manager requires native Windows Drivers for your dongle. It does not support and third party software (Widcomm Bluetooth Software). I had problems with my ISSCBTA dongle and Blue Soleil drivers

Read the topic:

Attention: How to use the Native Bluetooth Drivers with Most Bluetooth Adapters

If you are lucky, you may be able to get your dongle detected and installed properly. It's a bit tricky but sometimes works. Unfortunately it didn't for me. I posted some questions weeks ago, but no one seems to be interested in this.

Good luck!
