Default Bluetooth device priority - 11-27-2007, 07:14 PM

Is it possible for me to set the priority of which device becomes paired with my Pearl so that it always grabs the higher priority device? Here's what I'm thinking -- I have the Pioneer Avic receiver/nav with the bluetooth module. Unfortunately, it does not allow me to voice dial (if anyone knows a workaround for this, please chime in). I also have a moto bluetooth headset that will allow me to voice dial. Both devices are set up in the Pearl.

When I get in my car, the phone pairs with the nav system. If I want to voice dial, I need to deactivate the bluetooth on the Pearl, then turn on the moto, then reactivate bluetooth and the phone now sees the headset.

It would be great if, while already paired with the nav, I could turn on the moto headset and it would "know" that the headset has first priority and switched to that without the need to go through the other steps.

Thanks for suggestions.
