Default BT Speakers - Alternatives to Headsets - 11-28-2007, 08:50 AM

So my headsets are catt toys now.

I just got this for car use only. Much easier than a headset. Turn on the BT on my BB, and then simply press the spring loaded microphone to extend out from the side pairs and turns it on. VAD worked no problem and is better than a headset since you speak into the BB. I tested this with a convertible and could talk just fine.

Here are a couple of reviews I read before I bought it.
Review: BlueAnt Supertooth Light Bluetooth speakerphone - infoSync World
BlueAnt Supertooth Light Review (MobileBurn)

And here is where I bought it for $70.
Amazon.com: BlueAnt Supertooth Light Bluetooth Handsfree Speakerphone, Black: Cell Phones & Service

So what do you all think?

Has anyone had any experience with the Jabra SP5050 speakerphone? I read many glowing reviews on it, picked one up at Costco at a great price with a $20 off coupon no less. Everyone I spoke to said I sounded like I was on speakerphone - go figure. Just curious what others may have found?

The Jabra SP5050 I bought from Mobilebee.com (won't deal with them again) came broken and because you can only charge it in the car, it was frustrating to troubleshoot. For this reason my next purchase was the BlueAnt, which I like. My question is this:

Do you manually have to connect each time you get in the car, or what am I missing? I have set it as a trusted device in the Bluetooth settings, what else do I have to do to make it automatically connect?
