Default Not working: Bluetooth Phonebook import for MDX - 12-29-2007, 02:12 PM

According to the Acura website the 8300 does not support the phonebook import feature on the MDX. But when i look all it says is that the the phone should support bluetooth synch. Has anyone else run into this problem and if so is there a way to make it work?

I just bought a 2008 MDX w/ Technology package this weekend. My wife's AT&T 8310 took two tries to transfer the phone book. My Verizon 8830 took about five tries to transfer the phone book. I guess the good news is that, in the end, both transferred okay. One thing to note: nothing after the first 10-digits of each phone number transferred. I have also been unable to get the HFL (i.e. voicedial phonebook) to accept and execute pauses (for things like voicemail).

The Acura HFL is a little quirky. For instance, if I choose to dial using the phone (something like voicemail with pauses and passwords and stuff), the Acura doesn't "automatically" pick up the outgoing call. You can use the menu on the BB to transfer to handsfree, but, not until all the commands have been sent.....so, you miss the information from the vmail system. Quirky. Our 2006 BMW 325i works fine in this scenario.
