Default Cars and Bluetooth - 01-03-2008, 02:54 AM

Hi,

As a BB admin I have many problems with Bluetooth connection and cars...

Parrot kits : manual pairing works, no automatic detection when entering in area!

Audi (A6 MMI) : Pairing (automatic) works but no sync of adress book

VW Passat 2007 : No Pairing at all

What are your experience with build in car kits and tips and tricks to make it work...

Thanks in advance !
LDY

I had minor issues in the past with bluetooth pairing. I have a sony-ericsson HB30 bluetooth car-kit and regular mobile phones paired perfect and stayed connected.
My windows mobile devices also worked fine, only sometimes difficult to connect from the first time.
My blackberry curve connects perfect, no trouble at all. I get message when connected and working like it should.

both my curves connect to my parrot car kits. Sometimes they connect quickley but usually it can be 1-5 minutes before it connects. It will connect automatically within 5 minutes. I do wish i could get it to connect faster. Im running the ck3000 evolution.

I had trouble pairing my BB's with my 08 Honda Odyssey. The instructions didn't really work the way they said they did. The instructions said the car had to search for the phone. But really the phone had to search for the car and if you took a few seconds too long entering the passkey it wouldn't pair at all. Was very strange.

Then when I went to transfer the address book, I did the transfer from the car and it didn't seem to do anything except hang up the car system. Then I hit transfer from the BB and the BB errored but the address book still transferred. *shrugs*
